Anthony Pompliano, one of the most influential voices in crypto and a bitcoin investor, just posted a podcast titled, “Bitcoin is perfect. Here is why”
Amidst the plummeting crypto market, Anthony Pompliano, has come out with a video podcast interviewing Dylan LeClair, Head of Market Research at Bitcoin Magazine on the advantages of Bitcoin and why it is the perfect solution for the future. The crypto market has seen a major decline over the past week because of several factors including a possibility of war between Russia and Ukraine.
Pomp Podcast On Bitcoin
In the podcast, Pompliano along with Dylan focused on the advantages of Bitcoin from the traditional form of money. Dylan said the Bitcoin is different from the other tokens in the crypto ecosystem. He said that Bitcoin is beneficial as it has an immutable chain of property rights. Bitcoin’s blockchain is immutable in the sense that its history cannot be easily rewritten. This allows merchants to trust Bitcoin payments more easily than fiat payments.
Dylan seemed to emphasize that Bitcoin is a very important factor in determining the crypto market. He said if the Bitcoin prices are up then probable the alt-coins are also up. However if the Bitcoin prices are down, it will impact the entire crypto market. Bitcoin is also censorship and seizure resistant. Dylan remarked,
” Its gonna tick-tock next block and no one can do anything to stop that. However the problem with Ethereum or Solana is that there are times when the chain stops all together.
According to Dylan, Bitcoin fixes one of the most important problems in the world that is the broken cost of capital. With inflation on the rise, global debt hitting record numbers and consumer sentiment on the decline, investors are desperate for stores of value. Bitcoin serves the purpose of being the perfect store of value.
Stable Coins Are Serving A Bigger Purpose
In the latter half of the podcast, Pompliano and Dylan also talked about the circulating supply of USDT and USDC along with the benefits of using stable coins. The stable coin market is growing bigger. The total market cap stands at $181.7 billion. While this cohort of pegged tokens have met with significant backlash from lawmakers around the world, Dylan believes that stable coins are serving a pretty big purpose. Dylan said,
“Over the last year, these two stable coins have done around 2 trillion dollars of transfer volume each which is very huge.”
