Web3: Coda Labs Survey Reveals Harsh Truth On Gaming Projects
In a view to assessing the status quo and wide-range acceptability of Web3 gaming projects, a blockchain entertainment provider Coda Labs surveyed with many revelations on gaming projects.
The agency surveyed by sampling the opinions of 6,921 people selected from five different countries. They were asked questions bordering on crypto, NFTs, and Web3 gaming.
The survey results showed that despite the huge amount of money invested into Web3 gaming, there is relatively low acceptability among traditional gamers with many people still naive about Web3 games.

However, the survey identified practical barriers as one of the major reasons why there is a relatively low adoption of Web3 gamers. This is because many gamers do not know how to navigate through virtual games and blockchain wallets.
It was further established that 12% of non-crypto gamers have attempted to try Web3 games, while 15% of those that are yet to attempt it are much more eager to do so.
Coda Labs revealed that play-to-earn (P2E) is the most pronounced term among Web3 gamers. And earning in cryptocurrency was the driving force and major benefit sighted by gamers.
The survey data confirms that those who had played Web3 games are mostly positive about them, with traditional gamers often giving out 7.1 out of 10 ratings. In the same, mainstream gamers in the crypto space rated them at 8.3.
Development Among GameFi Projects
Despite the linear growth in the Web3 space, a lot of gaming projects keep on building. One of them, Decentraland, recently disclosed that it is working on a decentraland-specific analytics and data aggregation tool for developers to understand what motivates interaction in their scenes.

Meanwhile, there was a surge in the volume of blockchain gamers in September with analysts likening the growth to the interest of the gamers to stake crypto.
