The Sandbox and LOTTE WORLD collaborate to bring a variety of content to the virtual world and create international NFT games using LOTTE WORLD’s content IP rights.
Expanding the digital content business area of LOTTE WORLD
The Sandbox today announced that it has partnered with LOTTE WORLD to introduce diverse content to the virtual world along with the development of global NFT games using LOTTE WORLD’s content IP licenses.
The partnership promises that various experiences across real-life and the virtual world will be provided, such as private invitations for metaverse users.
The biggest indoor entertainment park in the world, LOTTE WORLD Adventure, features top-notch rides, spectacular parades and performances, as well as cuisine from all over the world. The theme park is split into two sections: the indoor LOTTE WORLD Adventure and the outdoor lakeside Magic Island. It also has a retail center, a folk museum, an ice rink, a hotel, and other facilities.
The Folk Museum showcases scale models of Korea from its more than 5,000-year history. The ideal location to experience Korean celebrities and the entertainment industry is LOTTE WORLD Star Avenue, which hosts a variety of themed musical productions to complement each season.
The Vice President of Development Division at LOTTE WORLD said that the company is expanding in the digital content business area so as to stay updated with the global shift in media operations.
“We are expanding the digital content business area of LOTTE WORLD to be a part of recent trends such as metaverse and NFT through this partnership with the Sandbox.” He said, “We will continue to make various attempts so that offline pleasure can continue in the digital space.”
The Chief Executive Officer of The Sandbox, Cindy Lee, also commented on the partnership: “LOTTE WORLD, a synonym for a pleasant play space, will show another pleasure in The Sandbox Metaverse,” He said, “We’re looking forward to building a new form of collaboration such as metaverse games combining on/offline experiences.”
This year, The Sandbox has closed several partnerships and shown its dedication to ushering businesses and other entities into the new digital landscape that is the Metaverse.
Yesterday, they announced the partnership with CJ ENM, a global entertainment content leader, to introduce diverse content for generation Z all over the world in the metaverse.
