The Klaytn Foundation is a non-profit organization founded to foster widespread use of the Klaytn blockchain and the development of a thriving ecosystem around it. Their flagship worldwide virtual hackathon, Klaymakers22, has officially begun, and they have promised more than $1 million prize pool, awards, and incubation opportunities.

As a public blockchain, Klaytn’s key goals are to facilitate the metaverse, gamefi, and the creator economy. It was released to the public in June 2019 and has since risen to prominence as South Korea’s preferred blockchain platform. The Klaytn Foundation, which manages the firm’s worldwide headquarters in Singapore, is helping the company grow its operations worldwide.

The consensus with DoraHacks was the first of its kind; a global movement that will bring together hackers to solve business problems and share innovative ideas. DoraHacks is helping to organize the Klaymakers 2022 event. The goal of Klaymakers2022 is to get more students and researchers interested in studying blockchain technology and the Klaytn blockchain in particular. To achieve this goal, the team will promote the creation of DApps and use cases by Web3 developers on Klaytn and onboard Web2 developers.

On August 10th, anybody interested in participating in a series of seminars geared at developers may sign up to participate in the hackathon. Further, on the DoraHacks portal, proposals for the hackathon may be submitted by anybody from August 29th to September 30th.

Here Are The Possible Options That Developers May Take:

  • The Klaytn Core+ Track is designed for programmers who want to help improve the Klaytn core protocol and supporting tools.
  • The Metaverse and NFTs track is designed for developers who want to build Metaverse and NFTs use cases and solutions to contribute to the growth of the Klaytn ecosystem in these areas.
  • The DAO track is tailored to developers interested in DAO use cases or the technologies that allow such use cases. It encourages the growth of community use cases in the Klaytn ecosystem,
  • The Fi+ track supports use cases and tools for any Fi+ domain (including DeFi, GameFi, MetaFi, SocialFi, etc.), which be developed on the Klaytn ecosystem.
  • The Public Goods track encourages developers to build use cases and solutions on the Klaytn ecosystem that may positively impact society by addressing public concerns (such as climate change, pollution, war, injustice, economic inequity, fake news, and so on).

The Klaytn ecosystem is comprised of several partners that are helping Klaymakers22.

Additional Hacks for Klaymakers22

The Klaytn ecosystem is comprised of several partners that are helping Klaymakers22. In addition, a couple of these collaborators will provide their own $10,000 in prizes for the challenge statements they create. Players can participate in any of these sponsors’ challenges to win bonus prizes. In addition to having a hand in picking the winners, partners will provide accessible business and technical seminars.

Anyone interested in learning more about Web3 can join the developer community on Discord and sign up for free seminars held by Klaytn and its partners. After the hackathon, the best ideas will get funding to continue developing through grants and investments in incubation and accelerator programs.

Klaytn Foundation is offering a bonus to the first 200 teams who sign up to encourage early participation. Submitting the Klaymakers22 buidl via Dorahacks comes with a $50 (AWS) credit for this set of people.
