According to data from CoinATMRadar, the number of Bitcoin-ATM worldwide on the eve exceeded 5,000 units.
In approximately 90 countries of the world, 5,006 Bitcoin-ATMs have been installed, through which cryptocurrency users can buy and sell BTC. Some ATMs offer two functions at once. The largest number of Bitcoin-ATMs installed in the United States, there are 3,229. Canada is in second place with 687 Bitcoin ATMs in this country. In third place is Austria – 266 ATMs. In the United Kingdom – 249 Bitcoin-ATM. Among the leading countries in the number of Bitcoin-ATM are also Spain (89), the Czech Republic (67), Russia (59), Switzerland (58). In each EU country, there are about 35 Bitcoin-ATM.
In June, a total of 150 ATMs were installed. Until recently, Genesis Coin remained the leader among manufacturers of Bitcoin-ATM, but the General Bytes team still managed to get ahead.
Note that in the US, many new ATMs appeared in the Circle K stores, in particular those located in Nevada and Arizona. Marc Grens, president and co-founder of the crypto company DigitalMint, which delivers Bitcoin-ATM, noted that his team is proud to partner with Circle K. This cooperation will expand the network of Bitcoin-ATMs worldwide, thereby promoting the spread of digital money. Increasing competition in the Bitcoin ATM market is likely to result in lower commissions for users, which are usually significantly higher than the alternatives available to users online.
