Voyager Customers Want Binance.US to Takeover Bankrupt Firm

A huge number of Voyager account holders (specifically 97%) want crypto exchange Binance.US to buy out the company according to a Feb. 28 court filing.
It was established that many Voyager customers believed tha the firm would heap a sigh of relief if taken over by Binance.US.
It is noteworthy that the opinion sampling was conducted by the bankruptcy management firm Stretto, which reported that 61,300 Voyager account holders participated in the exercise.
While 59,183 Voyager account holders supported the proposal that Binance.US should takeover the bankrupt firm, 2,117 voters representing just 3% rejected the proposal.
Recall that Binance.US disclosed last year December that it is bidding for Voyager’s assets for $1.02 billion, stressing that its ultimate objectives were to reposition the bankrupt firm as well as return crypto to customers in kind.
Unfortunately, the process has been deeply frustrated with several counter-attacks from different units including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other regulators.
On Feb. 22, U.S. SEC clearly objected to the move via a court filing, arguing that the Binance.US acquisition of Voyager assets could amount to outright violation of securities law.
In the same vein, the Texas State Securities Board and the state’s Department of Banking also countered the move, stressing that the restructuring plan embodies inadequate disclosures.
Binance.US Reacts to Rumour on Voyager Digital
While the acquisition process of Voyager Digital has been shrouded in back and forth, rumours have been making the rounds that Binance.US customer support are reaching out to Voyager customers asking for deposits.
In view of the above, Binance.US has described the ordeal as a scam attempt which does not emanate from them. The crypto exchange thus warned Voyager Digital customers to discard such request, stressing that email and links should be verified. This is spot on.

In the final analysis, it is hoped that regulatory authorities will act in the ultimate interest of Voyager Digital customers by facilitating the acquisition process so that they could be credited.
