Visa, Ebay, Stripe, Mastercard left the Libra project

Visa, Ebay, Stripe and Mastercard, following PayPal, together announced their decision to leave the Libra Association from Facebook and, in fact, not participate in the development of the stablecoin of this project.
Bloomberg announced yesterday that Ebay, Stripe, and Mastercard decided to opt out of the Libra blockchain project. Just a few minutes later Visa also announced that it was leaving Libra. Recall that a week ago, the payment company PayPal also announced its refusal to participate in the promotion of stablecoin – the decision is due to the unceasing pressure of regulators.
All companies respect the Facebook project, its ideas, believe in potential, but all decided to postpone the partnership. Until now, the aforementioned companies have been considering the possibility of cooperation with Libra, but doubts have prevailed, because they do not want to spoil their own relations with regulators.
Meanwhile, the CEO of the Coinbase crypto exchange supports Libra. Commenting on the attitude of the United States to the crypto industry, Brian Armstrong noted that in order to maintain their position and support economic development, countries need to invest in science, technology, and innovation. If the government succeeds in promoting promotion, then this is excellent, but first of all it needs to at least not impede development and not harm.
