The State Duma continues to adhere to its plan and will consider the draft law “On digital financial assets” in the spring of 2019. This information during the briefing of the representatives of the faction was reported by the head of the faction “United Russia” in the State Duma Sergey Neverov.
According to the deputy, the problem of digitization of the Russian economy is still relevant for the State Duma. In his opinion, the operational adoption of certain decisions will allow Russia to remain "competitive against the background of the rapid development of new technologies." Neverov also noted that the draft law “On digital financial assets” will be considered in the second reading during the spring session. At the same time, the adoption of this bill, as reported by the deputy, is “already overdue”.
Recall that the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov, said that the State Duma is considering nine laws on the legalization of all forms of electronic transactions, including digital assets.
As noted Belousov, some of these laws should be considered during the autumn session, while the other part will be adopted in the spring of 2019. At the same time, Deputy Prime Minister Maximov Akimov called for caution when finalizing the law on cryptocurrencies .
