Trezor hardware cryptographs were subjected to phishing attacks

The developers of a hardware cryptographic box for storing various Trezor digital assets have made an official statement about the recent phishing attacks on their online stores, as well as on the sites of their partners.

The attackers have created counterparts of sites with malicious software, which to no small degree contributed to the complete ban on crypto-advertising on Google.

Despite the fact that the ban was directed against crypto frauds and ICO scams, it also affected legal sites. For example, Trezor failed to launch important marketing campaigns.

With all this, cyberpunks still show ads, which allows them to increase their ranking in Google search results. This led to phishing attacks.

According to the company, they contacted Google several times and reported on phishing sites that mimic Trezor, but the search giant could not respond quickly.

Nevertheless, Trezor claims that they have finally won the battle with the scammers, as they began to work with the Google Abuse team and social networking platforms.

Despite these preventive measures, users of hardware wallets are advised not to report verification words to anyone, even if the company demands it. They should also make purchases only on the official websites of the company and from its trusted intermediaries.

“ Trezor is ready to defend its good reputation as the most reliable manufacturer of hardware wallets, and we are preparing a lawsuit against a yet unknown criminal,” said a company spokesman.

Despite the dark times for the cryptocurrency market, cybercriminals still feel great.
