BlockchainJournal, a frequent guest on YouTube, and Ton Weiss, a staunch Bitcoin-maximalist, can be the second in the last few days to represent the community, against which a lawsuit will be filed for defamation and the dissemination of defamatory information. This time, TokenPay, a provider of payment solutions, was in the role of a probable plaintiff.

As the American trader wrote, earlier he received from the lawyers of TokenPay in the person of SG Law Group an official order about the need to stop spreading false information in connection with the statements he made in one of the videos last year.

According to Ton Weiss, the case is sucked from the finger and has no prospects. He also questioned the filing of the letter itself, stating that this is a regular copy-paste from other similar documents and as such does not have any force. However, his lawyer Ton Weiss still promised to connect.

In this video, Weiss, in particular, directly accused TokenPay, which collected $ 24 million during the ICO at the end of 2017, for offering scam tokens to users. After that, he also repeatedly called the company a “fraudulent project.”

Commenting on the received prescription on Twitter, Ton Weiss came down with criticism of the partnerships concluded by TokenPay, including cooperation with the creator of Litecoin Charlie Lee. In particular, he suggested that TokenPay could pay a bribe for his name to appear in official statements about the partnership.

“How did this CEO manage to get such a person like Charlie Lee?” (I do not tag him, I think everyone else will tell him about it). It seems to me that for this you just need to wave a large amount in front of your nose or promise to buy a bank in order to launder money printed during the ICO through it, ”Ton Weiss wrote.

For the first time about the possible cooperation between Charlie Lee and TokenPay became known in April last year . As it was then reported, the creator of Litecoin is negotiating the role of the TokenPay advisor.

In July of the same year, the Litecoin Foundation announced the acquisition of almost 10% of the shares of the German bank WEG Bank AG, while, as stated in the official report, the transaction was the result of an agreement with TokenPay. In particular, TokenPay in the payment of technical support and the introduction of cryptocurrency payments for its customers gave Litecoin Foundation 9.9% of the shares of WEG Bank AG.

Charlie Lee has not yet commented on the statements of Ton Weiss.

Ton Weiss himself, meanwhile, continued his tweets, writing, in particular, that the “TokenPay TokenPay Holders Army” bombarded Twitter support with complaints about its entries, trying to force it to block its account. According to the attached screenshot, no violations of Twitter rules were found in Weiss's actions.

Regarding TokenPay itself, Ton Weiss cites a link to the site tokenpayexposed.com , which contains detailed information about the project and its leadership in the person of CEO Derek Kapo. In particular, the resource indicated that in 2017, when the ICO was conducted, no company called TokenPay existed; In addition, examples of manipulation schemes with a project token rate and a lot of other insider information are given.

The position of a popular expert in the Bitcoin community, however, has also been criticized. In particular, in the comments to his tweet, TokenPay representatives write that they might like to discuss the advantages of their platform in more detail, but cannot do this, since Ton Weiss has blocked their account.

Nevertheless, TokenPay confirms that at the moment the lawsuit against Weiss is not filed, however, due to the need to protect their business interests, the prescription about the need to stop the dissemination of false information remains in force.
