The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry Of Economy Has Established Its New Headquarters in the Metaverse

By unveiling a “third address” in a virtual environment, the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Economy continues its drive into the Metaverse.
The Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced that its new headquarters will be housed in the Metaverse, which is open to visitors from all around the world.
Notably, the announcement was made on September 28 during the Dubai Metaverse Assembly by UAE Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri. The minister said, “This is not a proof of concept, this is our third address,” before conducting a live tour of the virtual headquarters.
The administrative center is going to be a multi-story facility, with each floor dedicated to a distinct function. Visitors will have the opportunity to receive a ticket, which will cause a “customer happiness center employee” to enter the Metaverse in order to engage in conversation with the visitor.
The Government’s Big Picture: A Fivefold Growth in Blockchain-Based Companies
The ministry already has offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and the new headquarters will allow it to expand its use of digital services in response to directions from the leadership of the United Arab Emirates.
It will no longer be necessary for signatories to travel to one of their physical sites to offer their signatures if they can sign legally binding papers while visiting the virtual headquarters, enabling visitors to do so.
In addition, the headquarters include an auditorium suitable for hosting virtual conferences and other events, as well as meeting rooms that enable users to collaborate on a single screen.
The announcement comes in the wake of the Dubai government’s Metaverse strategy, which was made public on July 18. The strategy’s primary objectives are to support the government’s vision of increasing the number of blockchain companies to five times the current number and to create a virtual 40,000 jobs by the year 2030.
