Russian President Vladimir Putin during the last straight line with the citizens of the Russian Federation stated that the so-called law on “sovereign RuNet” is necessary for our country.
Recall earlier it was reported that the head of state signed this document despite the dominant negative attitude towards him in the public and expert environment.
Responding to questions from citizens, Vladimir Putin assured them that there would be no restrictions on the work of the network. Now the main danger lies in the fact that most of the servers are located outside of our country, and this creates a threat to the smooth operation of the Russian Internet segment.
The government was tasked with providing continued access to the World Wide Web in case other states begin to disconnect us from it, the president said. The state will cope with this task.
However, most experts and Internet users hold a completely different point of view. They fear that the law will be used by the authorities to introduce censorship into the network or other restrictions on the work of the Russian Internet segment.
