The number of Bitcoin ATMs in the world doubled in 2018

Contrary to the protracted bear market, the total number of cryptomattes installed in the world doubled this year.

According to DataLight, most actively such machines were installed at the beginning of the current year, when the prices of many cryptoactive assets were several times higher than now. In general, analysts say, in 2018, this business was actively developing, since six cryptomattes appeared on average every day in the world.

In total in the world there are more than 4000 cryptomattes, in the overwhelming majority of which there is the possibility of buying Bitcoin. Many devices support the most liquid altcoins, including Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Monero, Dogecoin, and Zcash.

Earlier, BlockchainJournal reported on a Russian citizen whom the Irkutsk Prosecutor’s Office fined 50,000 rubles for installing Bitcoin-ATMs.
