The world's largest producer of bitcoin miners Bitmain presented the technical characteristics of the devices of the Antminer 17 series , the release of which is scheduled for April 9, 2019.

New equipment for mining series 17 includes :

    • Antminer S17,
    • Antminer S17 Pro,
    • Antminer T17.

According to Bitmain, these are the most advanced miners of BTC and BCH using the SHA256 algorithm.

Antminer S17 is available in two versions: model 56 TH / s and 53 TH / s, with two modes of mining . Both models operate at 45 J / TH in normal mode, there is also a low-power mode at 42 J / TH.

The Antminer S17 Pro also comes in two versions: the 53 TH / s and 50 TH / s models, with three mining modes that “provide advanced customization, allowing customers to switch between different settings modes.” Both models have an efficiency of 45 J / TH in turbo mode, the normal mode operates at 39.5 J / TH, low-cost – at 36 J / TH.

In Bitmain said that the 2nd generation of 7 nm BM1397 mining chips used in the miners of the 17 series, compared with last year's development will save 28.6% of energy consumption. Regarding the Antminer S15 series, the new S17 and S17 Pro can save from 26% to 36% of energy consumption.

It is also reported that the BM1397 microcircuits have improved the structure of the low power dissipation circuit, which makes the S17 miners much more efficient. In addition, the S17 Pro uses a completely new cooling solution. He inherited the S15 double fan design, but the wind-path is shortened by half, the temperature difference between the inlet and the output of the miner is reduced, and the productivity is increased.

The Antminer 17 series will be released in two batches and will be available for purchase on April 9 at 14:00 (GMT + 8) on the official Bitmain website. Sales time by region is shown below:

Responsible for the Bitmain product, Yang Xin (Yang Xin) is confident that low power consumption and improved performance are the two main advantages of the ASIC miners of the Antminer 17 series:

"Buying the latest mining devices is more profitable because it allows you to make money faster."
