    is represented in Riga

At the Baltic Honeybadger 2018 conference in Riga, the founder of BHBnetwork Giacomo Zucco and the cofounder of the Czech startup SatoshiLabs Alain Vranova presented the organization The B Foundation, whose goal will be to attract funding for the development of the bitcoin ecosystem and the Lightning Network.

    It's happening!

    We're announcing "The B" with the kind of support of @AlenaSatoshi @ adam3us @starkness @giacomozucco @pavolrusnak @slushcz @francispouliot_ @keidunm @kanzure @lopp and more soon to be announced .. pic.twitter.com/Ahi536OGX2

    – The B (@TheB_Foundation) September 23, 2018

"In the long term, bitcoin does not need any centralized efforts to succeed. If we talk about the short term, then without coordination, we see a waste of resources, time, money, talent: developers are wasting their skills on Ethereum and other projects. Improper distribution of resources slows the development of bitcoin and we must take measures, " Zukko said.

In addition to the main direction, B Foundation also intends to oversee the development of privacy-oriented projects, bitcoin marketing and development of usability and user experience solutions.

The organization also promised, if necessary, to provide donors with complete anonymity.

"The board of directors and consultants will work exclusively on a voluntary basis. We will not buy ourselves a Lamborghini , "added the founder of BNBNetwork.

Moreover, B Foundation in the future can finance various bounty programs and scholarships for students.

"We gladly accept and altkoiny, although immediately translate them into bitcoin," – said Zukko.

The initiative was already supported by Blockstream CEO Adam Back, CEO of Lightning Labs Elizabeth Stark, former BitGo engineer Jameson Lopp , Bitcoin Core developer Brian Bishop, CEO of the HodlHodl Exchange Max Keidun and other well-known members of the community.

Earlier, Giacomo Zucco presented a prototype of the RGB tokenization protocol, which allows creating various classes of digital financial instruments on top of bitcoin.
