A full launch of the Telegram Open Network will take place on time. The company informed investors about this in a recent newsletter, adding a few details.
According to the letter, the TON core network will be launched later this month. That October is crucial for the project: if Durov did not have time to launch the project, investors would have every right to demand their money back. Many have already begun to doubt that such an advanced blockchain will be able to be completed in such a time, but now these doubts disappear.
In addition to confirming the launch date, the company gave some instructions for its investors. To get their coins, they need to use the special key generator published earlier.
Having generated the key (both public and private), investors will need to provide the first company before October 16. During this period of time, a check will be carried out whether the indicated address really belongs to a certain investor.
However, at the first stage, Gram tokens will be stored with a validator, which each investor will have to choose independently. The most interesting thing is that Telegram and the TON Foundation themselves do not plan to become validators: here I recall Libra with its centralized approach.
However, skeptics are still not sure about the successful future of the project. A number of users believe that due to the strict time frame, Durov will be forced to release a crude project, which will have to be completed on the go. Whether everything really goes according to this scenario is unknown, but one thing is certain: the launch of TON will indeed become one of the most important events in the industry.
