Arab Bank, located in Switzerland, began to provide its customers with services for trading and storing the two most popular cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Serge Robin, CEO of Arab Bank in Switzerland, noted that his team strongly believes that blockchain technology will completely change the traditional financial system. So, Arab Bank wants to be among the first banking institutions to start offering cryptocurrency transactions services to its customers, while maintaining a high level of security and cooperation with regulators.
The custodial service for cryptocurrencies will be supported by the Taurus Group – the cold storage solution for cryptocurrencies TAURUS-PROTECT is already integrated with the infrastructure of Arab Bank. Representatives of Taurus Group drew attention to the fact that when developing a custodial service, developers used innovative technologies and hardware, which is considered the safest in the world.
Note that earlier it became known that another Swiss bank, Julius Baer, also intends to provide its customers with access to cryptocurrency services. It is expected that the initiative will be implemented this year with the support of the local banking crypto startup SEBA Crypto.
