The company Clovr conducted a study and found that the volume of transfers using cryptocurrency has recently increased significantly. More than 700 people participated in the survey.

Thanks to the respondents, the TOP-20 countries were identified, where the largest sums were sent from the USA last year. These are Mexico, China, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, etc. Most people sent remittances to their families (76.8%).

The volume of remittances in cryptocurrency is growing

Clovr specialists found out that about half of respondents use PayPal and Western Union for money transfers, about 25.7% prefer bank transfers or credit cards.

The number of cryptocurrency transfers has increased significantly and currently stands at 15.8%. By volume, they are inferior to transfers to deposit cards (12.2%), transfers by mail (11.8%), online transfers (11.5%).

To analyze the potential of cryptocurrency transfers, Clovr estimated the cost and speed of transactions . For example, when sending $ 500 abroad, banks charge about $ 52, money transfer operators – $ 30.75, and by mail – $ 34.05. At the same time, customer satisfaction with the use of traditional bank transfers is 73.3%, online services – about 93.3%.

There are significant gender differences. Men remain more aware of cryptocurrencies, respectively, the mass adoption among the representatives of the stronger half is higher.
