Square's Cash App Tests New Stock Trading Feature

Square's Cash App payment crypto application is testing a new feature that will allow users to buy and sell shares.

Bloomberg announced on the eve that the startup team, which is based in San Francisco, is testing a new feature that, after the release, will allow users of the Cash App to trade stocks for free. Square has not yet decided on the exact launch date for the new feature.

Recall that at the end of June, the Cash App made it possible to create Bitcoin deposits. Matt Oddel, co-founder of the Final Message startup, noted then that the new feature will allow millions of Americans to replenish their bank cards with BTC without problems, using them at any place where Visa is accepted (Cash App offers users a debit card Cash Card).

In addition, in June, Jack Dorsey, the founder of Square and Twitter, announced the launch of a new team that will focus on expanding the cryptocurrency infrastructure. The team included some highly skilled software developers, as well as a crypto designer. The first to join the team was Steve Lee, the ex-director of Google. Square's new team is focused on developing open source applications that would allow users to make instant payments on the Internet with a high level of security.
