    A joint expert center for distributed registry technology , created by the Skolkovo Foundation and Waves, began working in the Skolkovo Technopark.

    The main objective of the Center is to promote the development of blockchain technologies in response to business requests, as well as the development of the market for projects and products based on blockchain technologies in Russia and abroad.

    Waves Enterprise, a division of Waves , will provide expert and analytical support to the Center in the field of technology development and expanding the scope of the blockchain for solving tasks of the corporate and public sector.

    It is expected that the clients and partners of the Center will be :

    • large companies from various sectors of the economy;
    • government agencies in need of consulting on the use of distributed registry technologies;
    • startups that need help in launching their technological solutions to the market;
    • investors interacting with blockchain startups and interested in their expert evaluation, as well as educational institutions.

    The Blockchain Center will also conduct educational work: invite world experts on the use of blockchain in business and organize educational programs.

    Alexander Ivanov, founder of Waves, noted:

    “The future lies with Web 3.0, the next generation Internet with smart, decentralized services running on the blockchain. This concept, which we are actively promoting, implies effective synergy between public and private blockchain solutions, through and widespread distribution of decentralized applications and services. ”

    For his part, Pavel Novikov, director of the Skolkovo Foundation's Innovation Center, said:

    “Enhancing trust and accelerating processes at all levels of the human-business-state system is a global challenge. That is why, along with artificial intelligence, distributed ledger technology is on the Digital Economy roadmap list. We are launching the Blockchain Center, primarily to search for effective use cases and accelerate the adaptation of distributed ledger technology in various sectors of the economy. The special attention of the Center will be directed to support start-ups and the blockchain industry as a whole. ”
