Cameroonian separatists of the self-proclaimed republic of Ambononia released an ERC-20 standard token called AmbaCoin, Bitcoinist writes.
In October 2017, English-speaking separatists proclaimed the creation of an independent republic of Ambononia. Ambazonia has its own flag, anthem, president, and now also a cryptomonet.
As they say on the project website, AmbaCoin is a kind of government bond and is provided with “a territory rich in natural resources and a policy of buyback of post-independent Ambasian treasury”
The coin is intended to finance the republic, provide humanitarian assistance and "protect communities from the repressive regime of Cameroon." AmbaCoin can be bought for $ 0.25 for Bitcoin, Broadcast, Monero and American dollars.
Earlier, BlockchainJournal reported that the Department of Science and Technology under the Iranian government plans to develop a national cryptocurrency to circumvent US sanctions.
