SBI Holdings launches MoneyTap application based on Ripple

Japanese financial giant SBI Holdings is going to launch this year the payment application MoneyTap for mobile operating systems Android and iOS, CCN reports.
The main feature of the new application is that it will be based on Ripple technology (however, it is not known whether this solution will be xCurrent or xRapid using the XRP token).
To send a transaction through MoneyTap, users will only need to specify the bank account and phone number or scan the QR code. Through the application, users will be able to make payments in 24/7 mode.
The launch of the new application will take place later this year.
Earlier BlockchainJournal reported that SBI Holdings invested in the Japanese crypto-exchange LastRoots.
