South Korean technology corporation Samsung is expanding the list of cryptocurrency assets supported by its blockchain wallet, but has not yet made any official announcements about this, CryptoBTCmining.com draws attention. With the next update, the wallets of the Galaxy S10 smartphones will become suitable for working with the Bitcoin and Klaytn blockchain developed by Kakao.
Much to the disappointment of Bitcoin supporters, the first cryptocurrency was not originally introduced in Samsung wallets. According to information on the Blockchain Keystore SDK page for developers, early access program participants can already interact with decentralized applications through the Bitcoin and Klaytn blockchains along with Ethereum .
The information on the page was updated on August 8, but the company chose not to make additional announcements, which is why it went unnoticed.
The Blockchain Keystore SDK allows Android applications to directly interact with wallet functions, including signing transactions and accessing keys on the blockchain .
A set of development tools has not yet been put into operation, which may explain the lack of official announcements. SDK access is currently available to developers upon request. It is expected that the official launch of the corresponding functionality will be carried out before the end of the year.
