Peter Schiff: Media pays too much attention to bitcoin

Peter Schiff, financial expert and irreconcilable critic of bitcoin, lamented that the media is too focused on bitcoin.

CNBC is trying its best to dupe its audience into buying Bitcoin. Despite gold being a much larger market, CNBC devotes far more airtime to Bitcoin. The Chinese aren't buying Bitcoin as a safe haven. Speculators are buying, betting that the Chinese will buy it as a safe haven!

He also disagreed with the opinion that the Chinese consider bitcoin as a safe asset, selling the yuan for cryptocurrency .

“Speculators are gaining the expectation that the Chinese will buy it as a defensive asset!”

It is not surprising that indignant comments were not long in coming:
