Tomorrow Bitfinex Crypto Exchange intends to upgrade the system, which is aimed at improving the stability and scalability of the iFinex bid matching tool.
The activity of the trading platform will be suspended at 12:30 (Moscow time). It is assumed that the update will take about two or three hours. During the upgrade, Bitfinex and Ethfinex users will not be able to trade and will not have access to crypto-wallets. Representatives of the company urge their users to take care in advance of carrying out the operations necessary for them, since during the update there will be no such opportunity.
It will be possible to improve the safety of the engine.

At the same time, the company considers it necessary to inform that all user funds will be safe during the upgrade. In addition, Bitfinex encourages platform users to pay attention to open margin positions, since a forced liquidation is possible after the resumption of trading.
Exchange users will be able to get up-to-date information about the upgrade on the company's Twitter blog. Trading on Bitfinex will be resumed 10 minutes after the update is completed.
