According to data from local sources, Norwegian Air will start accepting payments in Bitcoin cryptocurrency, and in the future will present an updated trading crypto platform.
On the eve of the post of CEO of Norwegian Air took Lars Ola Kjos, son of the founder of the airline Bjorn Kjos. It is known that Lars Ola Kios is a Bitcoin investor, in 2017 he acquired a cryptocurrency of $ 404,000. Currently, the Kyos family is almost completely owned by the Norwegian Block Exchange (NBX). In August, however, according to the plans, its updated version will be presented. The new trading platform involves the introduction of a program designed to reward users of the airline Norwegian Air.
Clients of the site will have the opportunity to accumulate points for trading in the new exchange system, which will then be converted into discounts, which can be profitably used when buying tickets to Norwegian Air or, if necessary, order certain other services of the company.
In addition, some have noticed that the company's interest in the cryptocurrency industry is associated not only with the arrival of his son Björn Kyos, but also with the decline in the value of the company's shares by more than 75% since April last year.
