According to a press statement issued on August 16th, 2022, the Houston Texans have formed a collaboration with BitWallet, a Bitcoin and cryptocurrency company based in Houston, to make BitWallet the official digital currency wallet of the team.

The Texans are the only team in the National Football League that will accept Bitcoin as payment for the purchase of a suite. The first suite was acquired with Bitcoin by EWR Digital, a digital marketing organization that offers a comprehensive range of services and is based in Houston.

It has not been mentioned that purchasing normal game day tickets using crypto assets is possible. Therefore it would seem that the crypto offer is only available for suites now. Hence, through the BitWallet service, one-game suites for Texans games may now be bought using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

BitWallet will also act as a go-between for the Houston Texans, exchanging cryptocurrency for fiat as necessary.

The Texans are the only team in the National Football League that will accept Bitcoin as payment for the purchase of a suite.

    This consensus is Groundbreaking

According to John T. Perrone, CEO of BitWallet, the company is “honored” to be the first to provide Bitcoin services to Texans fans.

    Perrone adds that :

“Digital currency has become a primary means of payment and by partnering with BitWallet, the Texans are leading the way in the NFL.”

The Texans’ website does not provide price information for individual games or the whole season; instead, they ask visitors interested in purchasing tickets to email in an inquiry. In addition, the price of a single game suite for the team may range anywhere from $14,000 to $25,000, depending on the suite’s quality.

The Texans organization, managed by president Greg Grissom, is ecstatic to announce this new partnership with BitWallet. This will offer an exciting option for fans looking to enjoy Texans game day in one of their suites.

Notably, when it comes to the team’s goal of finding new ways to solve problems, BitWallet is the “perfect collaborator,” the group said.

BitWallet users are now able to trade and store Bitcoin (BTC), and in the following months, support will be added for Ether (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB), Tether (USDT), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Currently, BitWallet users can only trade Bitcoin (BTC).
