Mike Novograts, CEO of Galaxy Digital, expects that in 18 months the flagship BTC cryptocurrency will reach a new price high, probably exceeding $ 20,000.

In a recent interview with representatives of CNN Business, Mike Novograz said that Bitcoin may just be recovering from a crash last year. The investor suggests that over the next 18 months, the cost of Bitcoin will increase by 3 times, once again reaching a price mark of $ 20,000, as happened at the end of 2017.

Novograz believes that overcoming resistance at the $ 6,000 price level can be considered a key point for BTC. In the future, however, the cryptocurrency will reach a level of $ 10,000. The head of Galaxy Digital noted that if the BTC completed the current year at $ 10,000, it would be very good, we can count on a growth rate of up to $ 20,000.

In addition, Novograc did not forget about altcoins. He noted that there are 118 chemical elements in the periodic table of Mendeleev, and despite the fact that only gold has an immutable value, the public no less appreciates, for example, copper, because it uses it. So altcoins are likely to prove their need.

Commenting on the hacker attack on the Binance crypto-exchange, Novograz explained that the market did not react negatively to the incident because BTC apparently had a bullish trend, and the bullish movement was opposed to bad news. By the way, today the BTC rate exceeded $ 6,000.
