Specializing in cybersecurity, Symantec has discovered eight applications in the Microsoft Windows Store with a built-in enhanced version of Coinhive, a hidden mining script for the Monero cryptocurrency.

Note that the applications worked on Windows 10 and Windows 10 S Mode. They were developed by some DigiDream , 1clean and Findoo , however, Symantec suggested that it could be the same person.
Applications that appeared in the store between April and December 2018 launch the miner JavaScript library through the Google Tag Manager.
Recall 4.32% of Monero coins in circulation (worth about $ 56 million) were mined illegally.
