MasterCard has opened a number of vacancies for the development of cryptocurrency directions. It is reported by The Block, with reference to the official site of MasterCard.

In particular, the company is looking for two managers in the areas of “Product Development and Innovation – Architect of Blockchain Solutions”, “Product Management – Cryptocurrency / Wallets”, as well as Vice President of Blockchain Management Products.

According to information published on the site, new employees will work with a “multi-functional team focused on developing franchises, legal compliance, products, laboratories, regions and technologies to develop new products and services.”

It is noteworthy that the two job descriptions also mention “solutions for wallets” as part of the blockchain projects that the new employees will potentially lead.

It is not too clear what exactly they will work on, but in the light of the partnership MasterCard with Facebook and its Libra project, it is possible that they can develop their own cryptocurrency wallet.

Recall, earlier it was reported that MasterCard became one of the members of the Libra Association consortium, which will promote the digital currency Facebook.

Later, however , information appeared that the project’s partners began to doubt its success due to regulatory pressure, and the head of Visa said that no company had yet officially joined Libra.
