Representatives of the Litecoin Foundation reported on cooperation with the Bibox exchange and Ternio, in which the debit card called BlockCard will be presented.
A publication from the Litecoin Foundation says that with the help of a new debit card, users will be able to spend their crypto funds online or in any outlets in the world where credit cards are accepted. BlockCard cardholders will get access to such cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Stellar, Ternio, Bibox Token.
Bibox will act as a custodial service of user funds. Initially, only residents of the United States will be able to receive the card, and later Blockcard becomes available to representatives of other jurisdictions. The Blockcard will be integrated with the Bibox platform and the official Litecoin wallet – LoafWallet. So, users will be able to use their cards directly through these ecosystems. According to data published on the official BlockCard website, free registration for receiving cards is already open. Soon, developers will also introduce the Blockcard app for iOS and Android, which will make using a physical card even easier.
Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin, is very happy to partner with Ternio and Bibox. He notes that this project allows the Litecoin Foundation to pursue its main goal – to create as many opportunities as possible to use Litecoin as a means of payment in everyday life.
