Litecoin user accidentally paid a commission of $ 20,000

On May 23, an unknown user made a transaction at 8.881 LTC , but paid a commission in the amount of 200.00360600 LTC (about $ 20 thousand at the time of writing). This was probably done by mistake.

Thus, the commission for KB of data in the block was 83.2 LTC. This triggered a temporary increase in commissions on the network to the highs of December 2017 – around $ 0.70.

Note that the unit has extracted the LTC.TOP mining pool, however, it is not yet known whether it is set to return the funds to the sender.

For the first time, the sender's address appeared on April 5, and since then it has made over 2500 transactions totaling $ 211 million. Probably, this account may belong to some cryptocurrency business.

Recall that at the end of March, F2Pool returned an abnormally high commission at 2100 ETH to the sender, who installed it by mistake.
