After Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Stripe, Kayak, Bookings Holdings left the blockchain project from Facebook, Libra representatives reported that 1,500 companies have indicated their participation in the development of their stablecoin, while 180 people meet the requirements for project participants .

This news indicates that Libra, most likely, will succeed in attracting 100 participants to its team until the launch of the stablecoin, which was originally planned for 2020, however, due to pressure from regulators, most likely, it will be necessary to postpone the dates.

The board of directors includes David Marcus, Katie Hawn, Wences Casares, Matthew Davy and Patrick Ellis. Bertrand Perez, the operational director of Libra, who previously represented PayPal, noted that the team has no intention of “playing pirates” – if Europe opposes their activities, they will not claim this opportunity.

David Marcus recently drew attention to the fact that you should not predict the fate of the project just because some companies decided to leave – the news is certainly not good, but the project can cope with the loss.
