Ledger introduced a new hardware wallet with Bluetooth support

The manufacturer of hardware wallets for storing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, Ledger, introduced Ledger Nano X, an improved version of Ledger Nano S, CoinDesk writes.
The new model was introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas has Bluetooth support, a wider screen and more storage space – the Ledger Nano X can store information about 100 cryptoactive assets, which is six times more than the Ledger Nano S.
Bluetooth support in combination with the new mobile version of the Ledger Live application also means that users will be able to complete transactions at any time without having to have access from a desktop computer or laptop.
In addition, Ledger Nano X will be equipped with a rechargeable battery, which allows the device to work without the need to be connected to a computer via USB.
Commenting on the assumptions that having Bluetooth support might make hacking a device easier, CEO Ledger Eric Larshevek wrote on Reddit :
“Nano X is working, already assuming that the Bluetooth connection is compromised. Adding BLE does not affect security in any way – transactions must always be physically verified by pressing both buttons on the device. In addition, the Nano X screens and buttons are directly connected to the Secure Element, and this is another increase in overall security. ”
According to The Verge , pre-orders for Ledger Nano X (priced at $ 119 including delivery) will start on January 7, and deliveries will begin in March. The Ledger Live mobile app is available on the iOS App Store and Google Play on January 28th.
We also note that the organizers of CES honored the new device from the French company with an award in the category Innovation Award in Cyber Security and Personal Privacy.
