Joint L1 Task Force Teams Up With Hexxagon To Build Community Wallet

On Friday, Terra Luna Classic’s core developer, the Joint L1 Task Force (L1TF), announced a collaboration with Hexxagon, a validator, and a team of developers, for the development of Station, Finder, and web extensions. However, this partnership has received mixed reactions from the community due to Hexxagon’s association with Terra Rebels, a developer group that is not trusted by the community.

Terra Luna Classic L1TF New Partner Sparks Mixed Reactions

On July 28, Vinh Nguyen, the lead of the Joint L1 Task Force (L1TF), announced a partnership with validator Hexxagon. The goal of this collaboration is to enhance the security of the community-owned Station, Finder, and web wallet extension. Following the passing of Proposal 11645, which aimed to create a community-owned wallet, L1TF has been entrusted with building the wallet using funds from the community pool.

As per the document on GitHub, both the Joint L1 Task Force and Hexxagon will operate under a single account owned by the Joint L1 Task Force. The partnership will be known as the Terra Classic Task Force, with Professor Edward Kim having authority over the “terraclassic.community” domain.

Hexxagon will be responsible for developing Station, Finder, and wallet web extensions, as well as related dependent packages, and will also handle maintenance and infrastructure. L1TF will provide assistance, conduct assessments, and review, and check all pull requests to Station, Finder, and web extensions.

Hexxagon will have its own manager, who will work in close coordination with the manager of the Joint L1 Task Force. Both teams will operate independently, without interfering with each other’s work. A multi-sig wallet will be used to secure funds, with at least two members from each team required to sign off on transactions. Only the L1TF manager will be authorized to submit proposals.

The partnership has sparked mixed reactions from the crypto community, as some members distrust Hexxagon due to its links with Terra Rebels, a controversial developer group. The price of LUNC is currently trading at $0.000082, with no significant change in the past 24 hours. The lowest and highest prices recorded during this period were $0.0000803 and $0.0000824, respectively.
