Analysts of the Israeli firm Whitestream found several Bitcoin addresses mentioned in the official media channels of the Palestinian "Hamas", in particular – Telegram-chat, in the context of attracting donations. According to the publication Globes, one of the addresses is located on the platform Coinbase.

Whitestream claims that the address on the American Stock Exchange accepted donations for at least another 48 hours after the first media reports. Coinbase declined to comment on the situation.

Analysts of the company calculated that during the short campaign, the organization managed to raise less than $ 4,000 through three addresses. Presumably, Coinbase funds went to the Binance exchange and / or CoinPayments wallet.

    Disclaimer

Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization by Israel, Canada, the United States and Japan, the European Union, and is also banned in Jordan and Egypt. In Australia and Britain, only the military wing of Hamas is recognized as terrorist. In Russia, Hamas is not recognized as a terrorist organization.

Recall that in December 2017, former CIA analyst Yaya Fanusi noted the heightened interest of Islamic extremist groups in Bitcoin.
