Representatives of the South Korean technology giant Kakao said that their new blockchain, Klaytn, is 15 times faster than Ethereum, reports The Korea Herald .
Also during a press conference in Seoul, blockchain-unit GroundX reported that Klaytn is capable of processing 300 transactions per second. At the same time, the capacity of Ethereum is limited to only 20 transactions per second.
GroundX Head Han Jae Sung stated the following:
“I think this Klaytn will form the basis of a mobile blockchain service. High performance will allow you to implement many projects that previously seemed impossible. ”
According to whitepaper , Klaytn is a hybrid technology based on the BFT consensus, which allows for an acceptable level of transparency and significant scalability.
