The general director of SpaceX and Tesla Ilon Mask asked Jackson Palmer, the creator of the crypto-currency company Dogecoin (DOGE), to help him fight the "annoying" crypto-crooks in Twitter on Monday, September 17.
Recalling Palmer in his tweet, Mask wrote:
"If you can help get rid of annoying spammers, this would be very welcome."
Palmer responded almost immediately, urging the Mask to contact him using direct messages. The creator of Dogecoin promised to send the Mask a script that could solve the problem.
It seems that the Mask did not take long to wait, as in a few minutes Palmer wrote:
"Update: We had a good conversation about how the Twitter team should automate and fix this problem from its side."
Back in July tweets of Ilona Mask said that the CEO of SpaceX and the billionaire are surprised by scammers pretending to be famous people on Twitter, including the Mask himself, in an attempt to steal Ethereum and other crypto-currencies from gullible users.
Ilon Mask is not the only known person whose identity was used by scammers. Several Twitter accounts have tried to position themselves as the founder of Litecoin Charlie Lee, because while some still pretend to be CEO and founder of Telegram Paul Durov.
In September, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey suggested that a social network can use blockchain technology to combat misinformation and fraud on its platform.
Despite the fact that Jackson Palmer and his social networking page were mentioned by the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, the price and capitalization of Dogecoin remained practically unchanged in the last 24 hours, according to CoinMarketCap. Nevertheless, the beginning of September was successful for the coin, as DOGE watched a significant rise from August 30, at one point rising 135% in just three days.
As previously reported, Jack Ma, the founder of the giant electronic commerce Alibaba, said that Blockchain technology "will lose its meaning" if it can not help build a brighter future in all industries.
