Creators will assume full responsibility for defining and settling their platforms. They must precisely follow the resolution criteria specified in each approved template. This decentralization of the operational process delegates trust directly to the contract code.
Slashing mechanisms for invalid contracts
The deposited capital will remain locked for an obligatory six-month period minimum. If markets are poorly defined or incorrectly settled, validators can execute a slashing mechanism through a binding vote within the network governance system.
Financial punishment will also apply if a market remains incorrectly unsettled for more than a week. Hyperliquid justified the importance of permissionless deployment by explaining that event-based markets vastly exceed the traditional asset universe in potential trading volume.
