The CEO of the largest Bitcoin exchange Binance, Changpen Zhao, is optimistic about the future prospects of the cryptocurrency market, despite a deep correction during 2018.
In a conversation with Bloomberg, Zhao called 2018 "the year of correction." According to him, despite the dominance of speculators who are attracted by price volatility, the industry will grow. This will be facilitated by the efforts of developers who create applications for "real user cases" on which the massive adoption of cryptocurrencies depends.
When asked whether the corrective rally had violated Binance’s further plans, Zhao replied that the company had launched a stock exchange with support for fiat currencies and plans to open another two or three of these about the next month. In total, next year, the company intends to launch more than a dozen trading platforms with support for fiat assets.
“None of our plans has changed. We are still aggressively moving forward, " – said the head of Binance.
Regarding the regulation of digital currencies, Zhao noted that the industry is extremely “in need of clarity”, and this problem is acute in various countries of the world. He also noted that regulation should stimulate innovation, not hinder them. At the same time, he is "very confident in the industry."
Recall, recently the blockchain-incubator Binance Labs has expanded its support program for start-ups to five new cities. Shortly before this, Binance showed the interface of the future decentralized exchange.
