The G-20 member countries will gather on June 8-9 in the Japanese city of Fukuoka to discuss issues of international regulation of the cryptoindustry. It is reported by the Cointelegraph , citing a local source Kyodo.

The meeting will be attended by finance ministers and heads of central banks of G20 countries. The main purpose of the event will be to create a legal framework for countering money laundering and terrorist financing using cryptocurrencies.

According to a local source, at this meeting, country representatives are planning to reach an agreement on new measures to regulate cryptocurrencies that imply de-anonymization of transactions. In particular, the G20 group intends to tighten the requirements for the identification of users to ensure transparency of cryptocurrency payments flows.

Recall that at the end of last year's summit, the G20 countries noted the need to regulate cryptocurrencies and create a unified system for taxing digital assets.
