SAPPHIRE Technology, one of the largest manufacturers of video cards, announced a new line of mining products for Grin and other cryptocurrencies that use the Cuckatoo 31+ algorithm.

The first in the new family will be the blockchain video card SAPPHIRE RX 570 16GB HDMI, which will soon be available for ordering. According to the company, the product is “one of the few solutions that can effectively mine Cuckatoo 31+, resulting in fewer users on the network, which will lead to higher profits for early miners.”

Unlike other video cards with a memory capacity of 12 GB and 16 GB, which are intended for professional use, and their price includes a large premium, the company is positioning the RX 570 16GB HDMI as a solution for beginner miners Grin.

“The launch of the 16-gigabyte RX 570 card represents a great opportunity not only for SAPPHIRE, but also for beginners of the Grin miner and the cryptocurrency market as a whole. Future products will include new additions with 16 GB of graphics to the lineup of the specialized blockchain systems of the INCA and MGI series , ”said Adrian Thompson, global vice-president of SAPPHIRE marketing.

Recall that the main network of confidential cryptocurrency Grin, which is based on the MimbleWimble protocol, was launched earlier this month. The first cryptocurrency on this protocol was the Beam, the launch of which took place in early January.

It is noteworthy that SAPPHIRE Technology launches a new line of products for mining, while both global manufacturers of processors for graphics cards – Nvidia and AMD – state a serious reduction in sales in this segment.
