The manufacturer of hardware wallets for storing cryptocurrency company Ledger announced the launch of a mobile application for devices on Android and iOS. You can install the application immediately after launching a hardware wallet Ledger Nano S or Ledger Blue (device with Bluetooth support).

With the launch of the new application, wallet users will be able to view their balance by scanning the LiveQR code presented in the desktop version of Ledger Live .

The company reports that the new application is compatible with earlier versions of Android and iOS.

“The Ledger Live smartphone app is compatible with iOS 9+ or Android Lollipop (5 and up)”.

Using the application, Ledger Nano X users will also be able to conduct transactions over the wireless network. Thanks to the Bluetooth functions, users of the new wallet will be able to directly connect to their smartphones on Android and iOS.

“Thanks to the combination of the Ledger Live and Ledger Nano X smartphone apps, you can manage your cryptoactive assets. Moreover, installing applications and updating the firmware of your device will be possible, no matter where you are, ” explained in Ledger.

It is important to note that the application is currently in test mode. According to the company, the full version is under development and is expected to be released soon.

The company also announced that the full version will be available only to Android users. The reason for this is that the connection for the full version can only be made using an OTG cable, which is not available for iOS.

Recall that in December, the company Ledger signed a cooperation agreement with a Hong Kong startup Crypto.com. The payment solution of the new partner after its integration into the online store Ledger will provide users with the opportunity to buy devices for cryptocurrency . In addition, Crypto.com plans to reward customers with money for purchasing goods in this way.
