To block the possibility of mining cryptocurrency without the knowledge of the computer owner, as well as the ability to collect digital fingerprints (making it possible to track user activity on the Internet), you must:
- enter “Settings” (in the upper right corner),
- then select the item “Privacy & Security”,
- in the “Content Blocking” section, select the “Custom” item.

Mozilla Vice President Nick Nguyen (Nick Nguyen) said that the main purpose of innovation is to create obstacles for third-party malware that slows down the user's computer. Some programs use the computing power of other computers for mining cryptocurrency .
“Fraud programs that, without the knowledge of the user, collect confidential information or slow down the system, are becoming more common. Some sites have cryptocurrency scripts that mine digital coins on the user's device. Firefox will block such programs, ” Nick Nguyen said.
