Enjin Blockchain: A New Frontier for NFTs

Enjin, a leading platform for creating and managing nonfungible tokens (NFTs), has recently announced a major upgrade to its infrastructure. The platform has transitioned to a new mainnet called Enjin Blockchain, which aims to further the adoption of Web3 technologies and enable anyone to create and distribute NFTs easily and affordably.

Enjin Blockchain has integrated these functions into its core code, making them faster, cheaper, and more secure. For example, creating and transferring NFTs on Enjin Blockchain does not require any gas fees or third-party intermediaries.

Some of the new features that Enjin Blockchain offers include:

  • Fuel Tanks: These are smart contracts that allow developers to subsidize the transaction fees for their users, making their NFT projects more accessible and user-friendly.
  • Discrete Accounts: These are unique identifiers that allow users to interact with any project on Enjin Blockchain without downloading any specific wallet software or creating any accounts. Users can simply scan a QR code or click a link to access their NFTs.
  • Efinity Matrixchain: This is a fork of Efinity, Enjin’s Polkadot parachain that was launched last year. Efinity Matrixchain is a dedicated network for NFTs that supports cross-chain interoperability, scalability, and environmental sustainability.

Enjin co-founder and CTO Witek Radomski said that the launch of Enjin Blockchain is a milestone for the platform and the NFT industry as a whole. He said:

“Enjin Blockchain makes the creation and mass distribution of NFTs affordable and accessible to everyone. Our aim is nothing short of revolutionizing gaming, ownership, and online identity.”

Oscar Franklin Tan, the chief financial officer of Enjin, also commented that NFTs and digital ownership are the key drivers for the next wave of gaming innovation, powered by developments in artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality. He said:

“NFTs are the cornerstone of this next wave of gaming. We expect an explosion of content as creators leverage new tools to build immersive experiences. Enjin is here to support this creative revolution.”

Enjin Blockchain is already being used by several projects in the gaming, entertainment, and education sectors. Some of these include The Six Dragons, AlterVerse, MyMetaverse, Microsoft Azure Heroes, Binance Academy, and more.

Enjin Blockchain is also compatible with existing Ethereum-based NFTs, meaning that users can easily migrate their assets to the new network if they wish. Enjin plans to continue developing its platform and expanding its ecosystem with more partnerships and integrations in the future.
