Dashlane password management and storage company cryptocurrency yesterday published the 3rd annual list of “Worst Password Users”, in which cryptoinvestors rank third.
The purpose of this rating is to identify password-related errors made by users and organizations in order to draw public attention to advanced methods for creating and managing passwords.
According to Dashlane, the number of passwords that an average Internet user should manage is currently around 200 — a figure, and by 2023 this number will increase to 400.
Speaking about the purpose of the rating Emmanuel Shalit, CEO of Dashlane, said:
Passwords are the first line of defense against cyber attacks. Weak passwords, reused passwords and poor password management in organizations can move sensitive information to risk. A huge number of accounts that require passwords, means that everyone can make the same mistakes that are listed in our list. We hope that our list will serve as an alarm for users and everyone will begin to adhere to the rules for creating secure and complex passwords.
And what do you think about this? Are you sure your password is secure?
