Dash cryptocurrency blockchain is now almost invulnerable to attack 51%

According to the Dash Foundation cryptocurrency general director Ryan Taylor, the project platform is now almost invulnerable to attack 51% . This opinion was expressed by the leader of the developers of cryptocurrency on the air BloxLive TV.

During the conversation, Taylor told viewers about the new Chainlocks protocol, which was created to minimize the risks of moving most of the Dash network under the control of one team of miners .

He stressed that the 51% attack is very dangerous for any blockchain , since more than half of the computing power used to extract a coin is controlled by certain players. They get leverage to influence the network and can use them to steal tokens.

Large networks, such as a Bitcoin platform, are less vulnerable to attack risks of 51%, since the cost of obtaining more than half of the computing power outweighs the potential profit. However, small projects, such as Ethereum Classic , are vulnerable to such attacks, which we observed this year.

Chainlocks protocol is equipped with the option of checking those blocks, the extraction of which unexpectedly began to go faster than before. Previously, the time to check the operation could reach up to one hour, but now it can be completed in just a few seconds, Taylor noted. He also said that in some respects, the Dash platform is even safer compared to the Bitcoin network .

Dash CEO is known for having previously announced the collapse of BTC, since, in his opinion, the largest cryptocurrency will not be able to adapt to the market due to the crisis of manageability.
