One of the most prominent cryptocurency exchange platform – Crypto.com has just bagged the official sponsorship of the most coveted sports event- FIFA World Cup 2022.
FIFA and Crypto Join Hands
According to reports, FIFA, an international governing body for many major soccer tournaments said that Crypto.com’s branding will appear both inside and outside of stadiums for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 scheduled to begin in November. The crypto exchange will provide opportunities for its users to attend matches and win official merchandise as part of the sponsorship.
FIFA chief commercial officer, Kay Madati, seemed quite enthusiastic about the collaboration to have a global brand like Crypto.com join as a sponsor of FIFA Qatar 2022. He said that, he deal will help grow the games “on a global scale,” citing Crypto.com’s partnerships with other entities around the world. Madati remarked,
“Crypto.com has already demonstrated a commitment to supporting top-tier teams and leagues, major events and iconic venues across the world, and there is no platform bigger, or with a greater reach and cultural impact, than FIFA’s global platform of football.”
Recently, Qatar 2022 Token, named after the upcoming Fifa World Cup to be hosted in Qatar in late November this year has gained a lot of prominence. According to CoinMarketCap, the Qatar Token spiked as much as 3,130 per cent within 24 hours of its launch zooming to $0.000000000323 from $0.00000000001 on March 11.
