The flagship product of Circle Pay was once launched in 2013. The application allows you to send and receive cryptocurrencies and make other types of payments by analogy with Venmo or the Cash App from Square.
In 2018, Circle expanded its range of services by acquiring the popular Poloniex exchange and presenting applications for retail trade in cryptoactive assets ( Circle Invest ) and institutional trading ( Circle Trade ).
Now, according to representatives of the company, from July 8, sending of funds through Circle Pay will become unavailable to users. Fully stop supporting the application on September 30.
Circle stated that they will continue to develop services related to cryptocurrency and steylcoin USDC, as well as support the crowdfunding platform SeedInvest and Poloniex.
Recall that in April FINRA granted Circle crowdfunding platform from Circle a license for an alternative trading system . Since then, the platform can operate as a secondary market for private equity stocks, allowing investors to trade stakes in startups.
