Representatives of BlockStream, which specializes in developing software based on blockchain technologies, announced that its Green Wallet mobile wallet now supports sidechain Liquid Network.
According to the publication, Green Wallet now supports Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC), as well as Issued Assets (IA). The latter tool allows Liquid users to create their own tokens in the Liquid sidechain. The Liquid Network project, which was released in October 2018, aims to provide an opportunity to perform instant transactions with BTC between legal entities and individuals.
A feature of L-BTC transactions in Liquid is the support of the Confidential Transaction technology, due to which key information about the transaction remains hidden, in particular, data on the amount of funds transferred and their type. A little earlier, the Blockstream team implemented support for Lightning transactions in the Sidechain Liquid.
